【1】Roadways Partly Opened! Free Walking Area

In addition to the sidewalks along the Hydrangea Path, some of the roadways on the premises will be specially opened, allowing you to stroll freely inside the Southern Clean Center (Kyoto City's waste treatment facility). Some areas remain restricted. Please follow the guidance signs on-site.

【2】 Plenty of Special Exhibitions on Site!

We will display an actual garbage truck, a fire engine*, and cool electric vehicles (EVs)! There will also be fun booths run by various companies and organizations!

*The fire engine (Kyoto City Fire Department) will only be displayed on the morning of June 7. The display may be canceled in the event of an emergency dispatch.

Special Mobile Collection of Small Electronic Appliances

We will hold a temporary collection for small electronic appliances containing lithium-ion batteries. Please bring any power banks or mobile batteries that you are having trouble disposing of at home when you come to see the hydrangeas! *Items must be smaller than 30cm x 40cm x 40cm.

Take a dynamic tour of Sustaina Kyoto’s massive, state-of-the-art waste treatment facilities up close, and then enjoy a guided walk along the beautiful Hydrangea Path!
*Tour contents may change depending on the weather.

 On both June 6 (Sat) and June 7 (Sun), free temporary shuttle buses will operate from Takeda Station and Chushojima Station. 

※Arrivals may be delayed due to traffic conditions.
※Boarding is on a first-come, first-served basis up to the bus capacity.
※The final departure from Sustaina Kyoto is expected to be very crowded, so we highly recommend taking an earlier bus for your return.
